And we had a baby...

On Thanksgiving morning!
We've been just loving our sweet little girl and enjoying our precious time with her!
So I've been a little behind (had I even mentioned we had a baby?!) on blogging...
Too much fun just soaking in her sweetness :)
I've quickly realized they grow so fast I want to take advantage of every moment I can with her right now.
The past six weeks have been filled with so much joy, love and happiness.
Beyond grateful for our dear Cheri Ann!

Anyways, I'll play catch up some other time.
For now, I wanted to post some images from a very special night.

This evening, my entire family met Cheri.
Tears were shed, but it wasn't the beautiful babe.
It was everything I dreamed it would be and more.
Can't wait to share her love with so many others soon.

She sure loves Grandpa already! And she definitely has him wrapped around her finger!
So much love for this little one!
So tender watching my Dad with her!
She doesn't look old enough to be a "Grandma" :)
Thank you Mom and Dad for making this week possible for all of us!
So excited and this is only the start!

Post Hurricane Sandy

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind! Literally and figuratively :)
We're feeling so blessed and fortunate.
Still praying for all of our friends as well as those we don't know
who are displaced and lost so much during the storm!

Unfortunately, because I'm less than 20 days away from my due date - we figured I better skip the Mormon Helping Hands event this past weekend in the Rockaways. I
t's an area that was devastated by the storm. I'm sad I wasn't able to help,
but inspired by the incredible work so many did and will continue to do there!
If you have a few minutes, please watch this...

Frankenstorm 2012!

I'm sure hoping Hurricane Sandy fizzles out ASAP!
But figure it's time to start preparing - just in case she decides to visit the East Coast!

(I thought hurricanes were only supposed to hit NYC every 100 years!?)

If you live in the city, here are some website to check out:

Which zone do you live in?! I'm in "A" :(
The only time in life when getting assigned as an "A" isn't ideal!

Stay up to date with the Mayor's announcements..

And so what should you be doing this weekend??
Getting your 72-hour kit or "Go" bag ready!

Here's to hoping the storm does

Turning the Big 3-0 in Ohio!

Weeks that is!
Not years - though I'm sure Baby "C" will make me feel that way soon :)
This past weekend, Ashley and I flew into Detriot and then drove to Toledo, Ohio
to watch Brooke race for BYU's cross country team!
Visiting the Midwest was quite the adventure!
Such fun sister time!
(We missed you dearly Allie and Sonya!!)
Since we were in a key swing state, Ashley rocked out her Mitt sticker!
The only thing we could find that said 'Ohio' was this car's license plate
so we had to take a picture to show her patriotic spirit!
BYU's cross country girls with their neon leg warmers before the race!
I was wondering if there was some technical reason they wore those,
but I was told it's just so the coach can spot them!
It definitely helped with that!
Our sweet cousin (really almost our other sister :) - Stephanie and Brooke posed before warming up!
Then before the girls came around the first corner, Ashley snapped my 30-week bump shot.
Feels more like a mound than a bump now :)
I think Baby "C" was running her own race that day!
Our girls racing down the golf course in Toledo, Ohio!
Finishing strong!

We love you Brooke! You're amazing! So fun watching you run!

A Fall Delight: Cafe Henri

My dear friend, Mandi, took me to Cafe Henri in the West Village last week!
It was the perfect little French bistro for a crisp fall day!

27 Bedford Street (at Downing Street)
So quaint and yummy!

Hope you're enjoying this cooler weather!
