Lucky in January!
I randomly called La Esquina a few weeks ago
and they actually answered (shock) and had reservations available as well (double surprise!).
We made it a triple date and had the most lovely evening!
My favorite three dishes there..
The Queso Fundido with Roasted Pumpkin Seeds on top!
The Mexican Grilled Corn!
The Chicken Tostadas with Avocado on top!
The Riley's! It was a treat to take them for their first visit to La Esquina!
Emily and Dox!
When we were walking out of La Esquina, Allison mentioned she hadn't been to Rice to Riches either.
So I knew exactly where we needed to go after - and luckily it was only a few blocks away!
Two great 'first's' and 'favorites' in one night!
The Third First in January!
It's been on my list for years and now - I've finally been to Norma's!
I've heard some people say it's the best brunch in the city
and I'd say it's right up there at the very top - if not the top!
When you're first seated, they bring you a mini smoothie that is incredible - it's not like any Jamba Juice!
The restaurant week menu here is pretty sweet because you can order anything
but the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata!
For restaurant week - they start with this basket of freshly baked goods!
My cousin ordered the Crunchy French Toast!
I couldn't resist the Nutella Packed Jacks!
Whoa.. I didn't know these were going to be huge!
We easily could have shared one with each other and then another two girlfriends!
You might miss Norma's if you don't know what you're looking for inside Le Parker Meridien!
Look out for the click near the hostess waiting area!
It does get busy - especially on the weekends so I'd recommend getting a reservation!
I really need to go to La Esquina! Maybe Memorial Day, another trip to NYC?
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a great night. And you did such a great job of capturing it. Love it all!
