In honor of the royal wedding, I thought I should post something about flowers! (What girl doesn't feel like a princess with a fresh bouquet in the living room?!)

If you're just moving or planning a move to New York, you will quickly realize most things are twice or three times as expensive as you'd expect here - with a few exceptions. Luckily, flowers is one of those exceptions! :) $10 for two dozen roses is a regular deal!I love {for a special occasion - which can really be anything} stopping by a bodega {think gas station with a random assortment of more food and not the gas} to pick up some flowers. There's just something charming about picking them up on the street as you walk home. I'm not sure why, but for the past couple of years, Quick Stop Deli on 6th Avenue by Houston has been my favorite. The flowers and service is always delightful there!
So many beautiful options this time of year! Especially if you're nifty at putting together your own arrangement! I need to learn how to do that.
Good to know: Last weekend, Brett and I were walking home from our date night when he decided to have us stop by one of the local bodegas and told me to pick some flowers our for the Easter dinner we were hosting the next day. Good thing he's got longer arms than me because we realized the fresher ones were usually in the back or top part of the display. I think the older ones get put up front.
Also guys, don't plan on the $10 for two dozen around Valentine's day or Mother's day! Most of the time, there's a taped hand-written note {think tacky} over the regular sign stating the higher price.
Hope you have royal weekend plans! Enjoy!
Love the blog Kimberl! Keep it up!
